2001

Was a big turning point in the evolution of Jester. Twice headlining at the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone, with a crowd in excess of five hundred people on both occasions. They also supported Bad Manners at the Legion, Aylesham in August 01. Jester were now appealing to a much larger audience, of every age group. This culminated in the release of their CD 'Down with the Clown' in September. An album of self penned all original material was a departure from the covers for which the band had become known. The CD received rave reviews from the press. This led to Jester being signed to Peoplesound.com. However, due to the merger of Vitaminic and Peoplesound and the subsequent trouble that ensued and further to the increasing interest in Jester from across the pond, Jester decided to move their on line CD sales & promotion to the big one in the USA at www.mp3.com (mp3 dead!! link updated to Soundclick..). Jester enjoyed feature placement in the Alternative and punk charts on mp3 and now have a world-wide audience to abuse!

2002

Saw Jester make their debut appearance on National Satellite Television in April with an appearance on Showcase TV on the Sky Men & Motors channel. The appearances are still being repeated on the Showcase TV channel to this date. Further headline gigs at The Leas Cliff Hall followed with a record 620 people attending on September 7th.

2003

Was another great year for Jester. There were many great gigs with a headline slot at the Armada Open Air Bike Festival at Sellindge in Kent on Saturday 28th June. Jester welcomed new Rhythm guitarist Stuart Kinnon to the fold and promptly set about writing and recording their second album.

2004

New Album "Corruption" released on May 1st. Check out the punk and oi site www.punkoiuk.co.uk for a review. Supported "The Fleshies" - Alternative Tentacles Records, on 1st June at The Beer Cart Arms, Canterbury!

2005

Played the Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone again with MORE THAN NORMAL and T.A.R. on January 28th to 570 people! Another cracking gig. Jester supported PETER AND THE TEST TUBE BABIES, the UK SUBS, GBH, DRONGOS FOR EUROPE and THE ANTI NOWHERE LEAGUE During the year. All thanks to their excellent new agent: Chaos Agency.

2006 to Present

2006 saw Jester play with Discharge and 999 as well as many other great bands during the year. The permanent line up changed as well as Terry moved albeit temporarily to France. This gave Stuart a chance to shine on Bass and Stephen McCann came in on Rhythm Guitar. At the end of 2006 Kelvin started working and living in Wiltshire which has made gigging a little more difficult. But, contrary to all the rumours Jester are still alive and kicking and continue to play! 2007 saw them support Sick on The Bus and play the Extreme Sports Festival at Tonbridge in Kent. In July Jester celebrated 10 years of gigging with a special night at The Archer in Dover with guest appearances from Terry Vincent on Bass and Drums and Kris Marsh on Guitar. November 2009 sees the return to Jester of Terry Vincent on Bass Guitar and Stuart Kinnon swapping back to Rhythm Guitar taking the band back to the line-up that recorded the Corruption Album in 2004.

The antidote is injected and the cure is still being administered...
